b_0_200_16777215_00___images_life_stoisko_KPN-REC.jpgThis year’s LIFE Information Day was organized by the National Fund for Nature Protection and Water Management (NFOSiGW). It took place on the 1st of July and was held in the Conference-Training Center of the “Nowe Horyzonty” Foundation, located by Bobrowiecka street 9 in Warsaw. This event was an excellent occasion for an exchange of expertise between individual coordinating beneficiaries and also the presentation of practical knowledge to potential applicants.

The objectives of the LIFE program for the years 2014-2020 and the co-financing mechanism of NFOSiGW were presented during a plenary session. Three projects were described in detail especially focusing on the experience gathered during the preparation of the application, the evaluation process and the difficulties which occurred in course of implementation.

Equally interesting as the plenary session were the “behind the scenes” meetings. Over 20 LIFE+ projects presented  their achievements on prepared stands. Direct conversations allowed the individual beneficiaries to meet and  exchange information. One of the stands was occupied by Kampinos National Park and REC (Regional Ecological Center). On it the projects „ActiveKPN” (LIFE10 NAT/PL/655) and „Kampinos Wetlands” (LIFE12 NAT/PL/84) were presented.

The novelty of this LIFE information Day was the possibility to participate in the plenary session through the internet. The on-line transmission gathered over 200 people which doubled the number of this year’s participants.
