On May 8th, 2013, in Morsko near Zawiercie a conference inaugurating the project entitled. "Protection of valuable natural non-forest habitats typical of the Orle Gniazda Landscape Park", LIFE11 NAT/PL/432 implemented by the Silesian Voivodeshiptogether with the Silesian Voivodeship’s Landscape Parks Complex. Three representatives of KNP took part in this event: a representative of the Department of Science and Nature Monitoring Anna Kębłowska and the LIFE + project coordinators Karol Kram and Ryszard Tlaga. During the first session of the conference four presentations were shown.

The first outlined the project to protect dry grasslands in the Orle Gniazda Landscape Park, the second focused on the flora and fauna of these unique habitats, the third presented the LIFE + program with the financial support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), and the fourth spoke of the participation of local governments on the example of the Ogrodzieniec Community in carrying out the tasks of nature and landscape preservation. The latter topic has raised a lively debate on the spatial planning laws in Poland and the possibility of local governments and Landscape or National Parks to prevent chaotic building in areas of valuable natural and landscape resources.

After dinner the participants took part in an organized tour during which they had the opportunity to explore the area of the "Eagle Nests" (“Orle Gniazda”) project, including the source of the Centuria river which is the location of the endemic plant Cochlearia polonica.
